How this works
Short, because there is not much to it.
The whole mechanic
- You put money on the board — minimum $1. That money is a balance, not a fee.
- Your position is simply your balance, ranked against everyone else's.
- Your balance burns down every hour, at 3% + 17% ÷ your position per day. That is 20% at #1, 11.5% at #2, 4.7% at #10 — the higher you are, the more it costs to stay.
- You can add to your balance at any time, from $5. Anyone can add to anyone's.
- When a balance drops below $1, the listing leaves the board.
Why the top burns fastest
Because otherwise nothing would ever move. If every balance shrank by the same percentage, the ranking would be frozen permanently — dividing every number by the same amount leaves them in the same order. Charging the top spot more is what lets the board turn over without anybody being kicked off it.
For the same reason the rate is a smooth curve rather than a few bands: two listings sharing a rate could never pass each other by waiting either. Every position gets its own number so that no stretch of the board is ever frozen.
It also means the honest answer to "how long do I keep #1" is a number we can actually compute and show you, which is on the front page next to whoever is holding it.
What you are buying
Attention, for as long as the money lasts, at a rate you control. There is no impressions guarantee, no targeting, and no dashboard promising you a return. The board says what you paid and where it put you, and that is the entire product.
What gets removed
- Anything illegal, adult, or hateful.
- Listings about a person rather than a product.
- Impersonating a company you do not run.
- Malware, scams, and phishing links.
Removal refunds the remaining balance. Burning is not refunded — that part was the service.
